Authentic curry awaits at Taj Okinawa

A real India curry restaurant where curries are made by a staff all from India, Taj Okinawa has opened a new branch on the first floor of Eagle Lodge on Kokutai Street.

The new restaurant is two times larger than the branches in Okinawa City and Chatan, which are now closed, and the parking area is larger than before, with space for some 50 cars available. A party hall is also now available, ready for any situation, such as birthday party, office members’ meeting, home party, and more. The party hall has a large TV and DVD player, DVD’s or home video are available for special events or parties.

The entire Taj Okinawa restaurant, which seats up to 80 people, can be reserved. Simply call and tell Taj Okinawa what your event is, and the staff will make plans with you. TAJ Okinawa’s new branch has several recommended menus: there’s a Ladies set for \1,600, Tandoori Mixed Grill set for ¥1,800 and Kids menu for ¥600.

15 cooks from India make TAJ Okinawa’s dishes, and Chef Tarun Ratra and manager Harish Bhamotra lead the cooks. Ratra and Bhamotra worked at a restaurant in a 5-star hotel of the Taj Group of Hotels in New Delhi, India. Eventually Ratra moved to mainland Japan to cook curry, and then on to Okinawa to join Bhamotra to bring their technique and unique taste to customers here.

Chef Tarun Ratra says “We have pride on our special curry. Our new branch and parking area are larger now, so everybody can use our new branch for any occasion. Please tell us what your plan is and we will make your original event a success.: Ratra adds he’s confident customers will be “satisfied at our new branch with its real India dishes, the best in Okinawa for sure.”

Taj Okinawa new reataurant is located on Hwy 23, also known as Kokutai Street. Turn right from Kadena AB Gate 2, and go straight, until, you see the restaurant on your right on the first floor of Eagle Lodge. There is big sign of the restaurant by the street.
