Brass bands will be making big sounds in Okinawa City on seven Saturdays this fall as Promenade Concerts at Music Town Sound Market and other Okinawa City venues.

The concerts take place the second and fourth Saturday of each month until December, running from 3 p.m. ~ 5:30 p.m.  Admission is free to the concerts at Okinawa City Music Town, Plaza House and Ichibangai Mall.  This weekend’s concert at Music Town features brass bands of Ageda Elementary, Miyazato Elementary and Misato Junior High Schools, and brass band Koza Fest.

October 13^th features Takahara Elementary School, Nakanomachi Elementary School, Ageda Junior High School and Yamauchi Junior High School.  The concert is at Plaza House.  On October 27^th, the concert is at Ichibangai Arcade, featuring Kitami Elementary School, Misato Elementary School, Ageda Junior High School and Okinawa East Junior High School.

Music Town is the venue November 10^th for the concert by Kitami Elementary School, Nakanomachi Elementary School, Okinawa East Junior High School and Wind Ensemble Tiramisu.  On the 24^th, Promenade Concert is at Music Town with Awase Elementary School, Mihara Elementary School, Misato Junior High School and Brass Band Koza Fest.

In December, the concert on the 8^th is at Music Town with Yamauchi Junior High School, Kyuyo High School, Bitou Junior High School and Wind Ensemble Tiramisu.  The final concert on the 22^nd is at Music Town with Moromi Elementary School, Bitou Junior High School, Misato High School and Koza High School.

At all concerts there’s a stamp rally game for the public.  Individuals get a card stamped at each concert, and then enter a raffle for gift card prices once you’ve collected more than four stamps.  The winner is announced after the concerts are finished.
