Ginoza through ages on exhibition

An exhibition at Ginoza Village Art Museum called “The history of Ginoza village’s mountain and people” is open to the public through Dec. 9.

The exhibition shows that nature characteristic of Mount Garaman and Mount Kochiya, and the people’s adaptability to their living environment in the area has received the nature’s blessing from about 3,800 years ago to present.

Among the exhibition displays are about 3,800 year-old crops that were dug out from Maebaru ruins site in Ginoza Village, and a basket woven of bamboo that somehow did not rot.

A curator of the museum, Kazutoshi Tasato says “We hope that people visit, enjoy and think about the past.”
