New Konan-ryu Karate-do Minamihara Shurei Association is staging a karate and kobudo demonstration at Kimutaka Hall in Uruma City, on Sunday.

The demonstration highlights the traditions of Uechi-ryu Karate-do Shurei that prides itself as being the keeper of traditional high-level karate. At the demonstration members of the association show their skills and stage performances to the public. The exhibition is one of their activities contributing to the local community.

The Minamihara Shurei Association was granted a permission to open by Master Shusei Maeshiro, the president of Uechi-ryu Karate-do Shurei Association.

The exhibition starts 2 p.m. Tickets to the event cost ¥1,000. Kimutaka Hall is located next to Yokatsu High School in Katsuren. Going towards White Beach on Route 8, turn right at Katsuren Post Office towards Uruma City Office Katsuren Branch. Kimutaka Hall is about 100 meters from the turn.
