Kodomo No Kuni Festival 2013

Kodomo no Kuni, the Okinawa City Zoo, is hosting a festival May 3rd through 6th as a part of the island’s Golden Week celebrations, with everything from carp streamers to marching bands and a host of kids’ activities.

The events take place in the Okinawa Kodomo no Kuni from 9 a.m. ~ 6 p.m. each day.  Admission is ¥500 for adults,

There are many live performances throughout the festival.

¥200 for high school and junior high school students. During the festival elementary school students and kids under elementary school age are free.

Various events including a performance of Nishihara High School marching band, comedy, traditional dance show, and kids performances will be held. Numerous carp streamers, the icon of Japanese “Children’s Day” will swim in blue sky inside the park. The very popular experience events such as giving food to animals and the petting zoo will be open, too.

In addition to the Kodomo no Kuni parking lot, an extra parking will be prepared. This is an optimal event for going to play together with your child.
