Rain-soaked road curb collapses into river in Ginowan

Record heavy rain on May 23 broke down a 25-meter long stretch of a road next to the Hiyara river in Ginowan City.

As a result, the boundary line of the road looks just like having been cut with a sharp knife, and the roadside concrete is now about a dozen centimeters lower than the asphalt pavement. According to a local resident, there used to be a depression on the road before caused by a heavy rain in April, which the residents reported to police.

In the afternoon of the 23rd, the crack started to grow and finally the concrete part of the road and the guardrail fell into the river. A part of the depression has reached base of a utility pole, and only its wires prevent it from falling.
