Naha hit-and-run leaves 10-year-old boy injured

A car making a left turn at an intersection on Highway 329 at Uema, Naha City, hit a 10-year-old boy riding a bicycle trying to cross the road, in the evening of June 8. The boy suffered injuries on his left back, and left knee.

The car did no stop after the accident but continued its way from the site. Police investigate he accident as a hit-and-run offense.

According to police and witnesses, the car was a white sedan, and was trying to turn left towards Yonabaru coming from the Maji area when it hit the boy. The driver did not stop check on the boy but left the scene.
