Kitanakagusuku convenience store robbed at knife-point

A convenience store in Kitanakagusuku was robbed at knife-point, Aug. 7.

According to Okinawa City Police, a man wearing a surgical mask entered the store around midnight, walked to the lone sales clerk on duty at the time, thrust a knife at him and demanded money. The male clerk opened the cash register, and the robber grabbed the bills in it, totaling about ¥190,000, and ran away. The clerk was not injured, and there were no customers at the store at the time.

The police is looking for the robber who they describe as a 20~30-year-old male, 175 to189 cm tall and chubby. He was dressed in black and had a surgical mask on all the time.
