Okinawa gained a top spot in a customer satisfaction (CS) survey a Tokyo survey agency Recruit Lifestyle conducted in all prefectures of Japan recently.

Yoshihiro Kitamura, the president of Recruit Lifestyle, announced the survey results that showed 91% of visitors to Okinawa said they were “Very satisfied” or “Satisfied” with their experience overall. The number was the highest of all prefectures. Okinawa was also on the top spot in a similar survey conducted last year.

Out of nine items in the questionnaire, “the wealth of local foods,” Okinawa held the first place of all.

President of Recruit Lifestyle Okinawa Hiroe Takeda says Okinawa is rated highly for its great hospitality and general friendliness of its people, and that is the main reason for the high level of customer satisfaction.

Recently, the number of tourists from Kanto region has increased as a result of the high growth of the Low Cost Carrier (LCC) cheap flights.

This survey was based on questionnaires presented to the tourists on the Internet in 2012.
