TAJ’s Indian curry lunches are healthy, delicious and inexpensive.

TAJ is a popular real India curry restaurant where a staff that are all from India make the curries and other dishes, Now TAJ Okinawa has opened a new branch in Furugen, Yomitan Village, that features the same popular ideas that the original branch. The new restaurant has been open since Aug. 30.

As in the past, the entire TAJ restaurant can be reserved. Simply call and tell Taj what your event is, and the staff will make plans with you. The new Yomitan branch has several recommended menus: there’s a Ladies set for ¥1,600, Tandoori Mixed Grill set for ¥1,800 and Kids menu for ¥600. There are about 20 outdoor terrace seats available for people to enjoy outdoor dining as the weather gets cooler.

Cooks at TAJ are all from India, and Chefs Kedar Kuniyal and Kuldip Ratra lead the cooks. They have extensive experioence in working at restaurant in a 5-star hotel in New Delhi, India, and both eventually moved to Okinawa to bring their technique and unique taste to TAJ customers here.

Chef Kuldip Ratra says “We have pride on our special curry,” adding he’s confident customers will be “satisfied at our new branch with its real India dishes, the best in Okinawa for sure.”

The Yomitan TAJ has a terrace by its entrance that seats about 20 people.

TAJ Okinawa’s new branch is open from 11 a.m. ~ 10 p.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. English menus are available, and payment in yen or dollars, and major credit cards are accepted. Their telephone number is 098-989-8625.

To reach TAJ Okinawa’s new restaurant go north from Kadena Circle towards Nago on Hwy 58, turn left onto Route 16, and go straight, until you see the restaurant on your left at the intersection just before Outlet-J AEON Shopping Town and next to Starbucks.
