Sun Abilities athletic association for handicapped people announced Tuesday in Urasoe City that wheelchair rugby player Susumu Nakazato has been elected captain of the Japan wheelchair rugby team for the Asia, Oceania Zone Championships.

The championship games are taking place in South Africa this November.

The 36-year-old Urasoe resident played in the Athens, Beijing and London Paralympics.

“To get into the world championships we will definitely finish at least in 2nd place,” determined Nakazato says.
