Ishigaki Coast Guard has declared 57-year-old office worker Yoshitoyo Arakaki missing on the sea.

Arakaki was last seen departing from Hamasaki Marina, Ishigaki Island, in his boat on the 16^th. The Coast Guard searched for the missing boat and the man on the 17^th but failed to find any track to his whereabouts.

According to Ishigaki Coast Goard he had departed the marina Saturday morning on what he had told to this family would be a short fishing trip. About 7:3o in the evening, the family called the Coast Guard to report him missing as he had not returned as scheduled.

The search continues.
