Store robbery in Yonabaru

A boy walked into a small store in Yonabaru, owned and operated by a 87-year-old woman, Tuesday, grabbed ¥2,000 from the owner, and ran away with three other boys who were waiting outside.

According to Yonabaru Police, all in the group seemed to be junior high school students. The owner of the store was not harmed. The robber was wearing dark-colored clothes and a surgical mask.

The storeowner told the police that the robber had walked into the store without saying a word, and then showed a knife in his pocket. The frightened storeowner grabbed some cash from a drawer and handed it to the robber who ran out of the store.
