Fire broke out in the non-burnable refuse storage area in Itoman and Tomigusuku incineration facility in Tsukazato, Itoman City, Monday.

Employees alerted the Itoman City Fire Department, and firefighters began to put out the fire. As of noon on Tuesday, the fire was still going on. The facility is isolated from housing areas close to the coast, and there has been no danger to local property of residents.
