Administrators of Shigira Resort a part of the Unitmat Group, announced a plan, Wednesday, to build a resort-type retirement community in Ueno, Miyako Island

According to company officials, they plan to build the “Retirement Community Miyako Island” that would in the future house up to 10,000 residents.

A development of a large-scale retirement resort in Japan is exceptional. Unitmat representative Yoji Takahashi says, “We would like to answer to the needs of those who have retired from working in the front lines, and are looking for a comfortable retirement.”
