Until now, the end of most homepages on Okinawa have ended in .jp or .com. But as the rules of international domain name management change, it will be possible to register domain names that end with “.okinawa.”

Applications for the new domain names will be accepted from July, and “.ryukyu” will become available from September.

Ralliart Inc., which holds the largest share of management and administration rights of domains in Okinawa, will start accepting applications from individuals and companies. Acquisition charges for the new domain names are scheduled to be less than \1,000.
