Kijimuna Festa, a children’s theatrical festival that was ran in Okinawa City venues annually for several years but was earlier this year put on hiatus due to some murky dealings involving its organizers, will be held this year from Jul. 26th through Aug. 3rd, but with a new name “2014 International Children and Youth Theatrical Festival.”

The festival will be run under private organizers without any official contacts to public entities.

The festival will run with a theme “Theater is medicine for life”, and it will feature theatrical productions, symposiums and workshops in Naha, Okinawa City and Tokyo.
