Kume Island’s awamori brewing company Kumejima no Kumesen has been registered as a supporting member of the Nippon Bartender Association (NBA).

It became the first awamori brewing company to join the NBA. The company was registered in the beginning of May. Since last March the company has sold awamori specially formulated for cocktails. The awamori is called “Kumejima’s Kumesen,” and that gave the company an opportunity to join the association.
