A string of purse snatches continues in Naha. A man riding a motorcycle approached a 59-year-old woman from behind, and snatched her purse containing about ¥25,000 cash, Thursday, about 11 a.m. in Kume, Naha City, on a street behind Chinese Garden Fukushuen,

The woman was not hurt in the incident.

According to Naha Police, this is the 11th purse snatching incident to occur within Naha Police jurisdiction. The police say, the male robber was wearing a white jacket and helmet, and was riding a motor scooter.

Investigators say they have not been able to find out yet whether these incidents are linked to each other.
