Passengers on GW flights to Okinawa increase 8.8%

All five domestic airlines have announced their passenger numbers during the Golden Week from April 25th through May 6th.

The total number of passengers on all airlines flying to and from Okinawa, Japan Airlines (JAL), All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan TransOcean Air (JTA), Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC) and Skymark, increased 8.8% from last year to 529,949.

By carries, Japan Airlines posted a 5.0% increase having had 106,741 passengers. The number of All Nippon Airways passengers went up 5.5% to 244,147. Japan TransOcean Air was the only one to experience a decrease by 4.0% with 94,964 passengers, and Ryukyu Air Commuter Co., Ltd. enjoyed a 4.8% increase to 14,634.  The low cost carrier Skymark reported a whopping 69.7% increase to 69,463 passengers.
