Expertly done nails are like a piece of prized jewelry.

Bella Nails, located in Miyagi, Chatan, is a place where customers not only get their nails done to top fashion, but can get wax hair removal services, too, followed by a chance to have their future read from Tarot cards to boot, if they so wish.

Bella Nails’ owner, Hiroyo Zukeran, developed her skills in various nail salons and resort hotels before opening her own business in 2011. She had interest in the beauty services, and to acquire the skills and techniques, she went to study at the Total Beauty School, where she fell in love with manicures. The more she studied the subject, the more she became attracted to it, and finally got her chance to own her own business when the former owner called it quits and left the shop to her.

She decided that in order to be successful, a change of location was needed, so she found a new home in Minato, Chatan, where it is to this day.  In August, the shop will celebrate its 3^rd anniversary.

Hiroyo has 15 years experience as a nailist, and her strongest suit is shellac and hard-gel nails. Prices are also extremely reasonable and most customers come again and again for her services. “I try my best to create a relaxing atmosphere in the shop for my customers, and for example, give them a movie to watch and some tea while we create the beauty they want”, she says. Another point she makes is that all staff are bilingual and very friendly.

As proof her methods are working, many couples and families visit the salon. Wax hair removal is also available, and not only for women, but male customers as well. She explains that most of her male customers visit the salon for hair removal of chest and back and also for pedicures.

A professional tarot card reader offers her services for ¥1,000 for 10 minutes, and that has also proven to be popular with many repeat customers.

Bella Nails offers different and convenient campaigns every month. This month’s special is the set of both manicure and pedicure for only ¥4,200. This campaign began in May and was so popular with customers that Hiroyo decided to continue it through this month.
