A fun event aimed directly at kids is now playing the Urasoe Museum, enticing youngsters to get excited about and involved in art.

The Urasoe Museum says the Wakuwaku Art Craft Fair is for kids, but adults can certainly attend, participate and have fun too.The concept of this art fair is creating imagination for kids, and there are a lot of arts or crafts which give impressions just watching.

Art is usually hard for kids to relate to, but not so far at the Urasoe Museum. There are five genre of art such as Animals, Plants, the Human Body, Duplicates and the Wonder Room. Museum staff predict “Your kids should shout Wow!”

The Wakuwaku Art Craft Fair runs through September 15th, closed only on Mondays. The fair is open daily 9:30 a.m. ~ 5 p.m., except Fridays, when hours are extended for last entry at 6:30 p.m. and a closing at 7 p.m. Admission is ¥800 for adults, ¥500 for university students, and ¥200 for junior high and primary school.
