Okinawa experienced its lowest temperatures so far this winter Wednesday morning with 10.3ºC, the lowest on the island, recorded in Oku, Kunigami Village.

According to Okinawa Meteorological Observatory, this is because a cold air mass is moving down southward due to an extension of a strong high-pressure system on the Asian continent.

26 observing spots out of the total 28 on the island reported monitoring the coldest temperature of this winter this morning.
