Skynet to inaugurate routes from Naha to Nagoya and Ishigaki

Skynet Asia Airways Co., Ltd. announced that Solaseed Air, the name that Skynet’s carrier goes with, would start two new routes on March 29th 2015, one between Naha and Nagoya, and another connecting Naha and Ishigaki.  The new routes are the carrier’s first to Ishigaki and Chubu Airports from Naha.

The new lines will operate code sharing with ANA.  The routes will be the fourth and fifth for the company connecting Okinawa after routes between Naha and Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Kobe.  The company is planning to use Boeing 737-800 aircraft with seating capacity of 174 passengers. The number of flights and fares will be published at the end of January.

According to a company spokesman, the number of tourists to Yaeyama district has increased. The company aims to create convenient connections with the new routes to its existing ones.  The spokesman said, “Growing demand for travel to Okinawa is expected.  We would like to enhance the convenience of connections to the remote islands of Okinawa.”
