Peach Aviation, one of Japan’s Low Cost Carrier (LCC) airlines in Japan, has started a new route connecting Naha and Hong Kong.

The carrier held an inauguration ceremony for the new route at the LCC Terminal at Naha Airport on Feb. 21st. The company has designated Naha as its second hub in Japan in addition to Kansai Airport, and the new route is its fourth from Okinawa following Kansai, Taipei and Fukuoka.

The new Hong Kong route starts with four flights a week, to be increased to seven flights per week in the near future. The company expects its average occupation rate on its new route to be 75~80 %.
