Syadidah Osman’s artworks are rich experiments in colors.

A Malay-Singaporean artist is in Okinawa, and opened an Art Exhibition Saturday in Yomitan.

Syahidah Osman, a self-taught and ambidextrous artist whose works are being featured across Malaysia and Singapore, will have her DREAMSCAPE exhibition at the Dechibica Café in Yomitan, near Starbucks.  The exhibition, which shows her works with many mediums and techniques of her own design that show experimentation with colors, will be open daily Saturday through March 14^th, 11 a.m. ~ 5 p.m.

She’s more than an artist, becoming involved in community educational issues that include treating emotional and mental issues. Syahidah often conducts art therapy with children, and conducts art workshops for kids.  He favorite charities to which she contributes are Multiple Sclerosis KL, Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped Selangor, and the National Association for Gifted Children.  She says she “seeks the solace of nature and stories of compassion, and strength of the people she meetings,” as an inspiration for her work.

Syahidah Osman currently lives in Singapore with her three sons.
