Eva Airways doubles Taipei-Okinawa flights

Starting from May 4th, Eva Airways will fly one flight in the morning and one in the afternoon on their regular route between Naha and Taipei.  Thus, the carrier will fly 14 round trips per week.

Eva Airways started flights between Naha and Taipei in June last year.   Thanks to increasing demand for travel to Okinawa, the company has had its flights filled to 90% of capacity during the summer season and holidays. During the winter season the flights have been 70% full.

Eva Air flew 36,079 passengers between Taipei and Naha from June last year through February this year, with the average seat occupancy rate at 86 %.  The company decided to double the flights expecting in increasing number of repeat visitors to Okinawa, and also more tourists from Okinawa coming to Taiwan.
