Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park covers a vast area in Hiyane, Okinawa City and has both indoor and outdoor facilities that have many activities for the whole family.

Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park Kids Festival 2015 is being celebrated May 4^th and 5^th during Golden Week, offering plenty of fun for youngsters, and best of all, it is free.

There are many recreation games and classes for visitors to enjoy, and kids can make something.  For example, there’s an old-time traditional toys making experience, sports chanbara sword fighting game, treasure hunting game, strap making booth, French sport ‘petanque’ class and more.  There’s even a free throw game costing ¥200.

Kenji’s street performance takes place twice Monday, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and Hiyagon Hana Taiko is on stage at noon. The Hawaiian Hula dance show is at 3 p.m.  On Tuesday, Uruma Tenryu Taiko performances are at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Kenji’s street performance entertains at 1:30 p.m.

The festival runs Monday and Tuesday, both Japanese national holidays, from 9:30 a.m.  ~ 5 p.m. at the recreation dome, Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park in Okinawa City, 5-3-1 Hiyagori, Okinawa City.
