Japan’s largest composite pet facility open in Chatan

Pets, along with their owner, will rejoice as a new facility exclusively dedicated to the needs of our four-legged friends and family members open a brand new Okinawa Vets Park Chatan that is the largest composite facility associated with pets in Japan. The grand opening is scheduled for this Saturday, July 25th.

This facility is a project of Animal Hospital 22 Group. According to the group spokesman, they started to plan the new facility that caters exclusively to pets back in 2013. The theme of the planning was ”Town development for comfortable living with a pet,” and, finally, the result of all the planning will open this weekend for all pet lovers to enjoy.

Dogs of all ages and breeds will enjoy the new facility.

Okinawa Vets Park Chatan is built for pets. The facility features an advanced veterinary center Chatan Medical Center (CMC) and Chatan Care Center (CCC) that include a pet rehabilitation center, facility for old dogs, medical and trimming facilities, and pet hotel. The facility premises have a total area of about 1,157 square meters that includes a large dog run, dog cafe, a pet shop that includes an aquarium and small animal shops, a large-breed dog puppy and small-breed dog specialty shops, a cageless pet hotel, and a trimming shop.

CMC has comfortable waiting rooms for pet owners, and all doctors, nurses, and other staff are able to communicate in English.

Currently, the dog run is inviting pet owners to apply for a membership. Also, old dog and cat care facility will be open from the start.

People who want to use the dog run need to register in advance. A vaccination certificate of rabies and combo vaccine shots issued within one year is required. The fee for the use of the dog run is ¥550 per pet for two hours for a One Day Pass, ¥3,300/pet for One Month Pass that includes two-hour use per visit, and ¥12,600 for One Year Pass, also two hours of use each visit. An owner or other person responsible for the dog is required to be present during the dog run visit. Additional persons accompanying the dog are charged ¥200 per visit.
