Ryukyu Golden Kings, the Okinawan pro-basketball team playing in the TKbj-League, announced Aug. 24th the selection of Ryuichi Kishimoto for the captain of the team for the upcoming season 2015-16.

Kishimoto, a point guard, joined the team in midseason 2012-13, the upcoming season being his fourth with the team. Kishimoto contributed to the team winning the championship of the season 2013-14 by playing a pivotal role in the team, and was named the MVP in the playoffs. He also received the “New Face Award” for the season.

On the same day, team officials also announced that Tsutomu Isa would continue to lead the team as the head coach.
