U.S. Consul General Alfred Magleby leaves

Alfred R. Magleby, the U.S. Consul General in Naha, paid a courtesy visit to Okinawa Governor Takeshi Onaga at the Prefectural Government Office, Aug 17th, to inform the governor that he is leaving his office.

At the meeting, Magleby said, “I would like to be involved in the Japan-U.S. relations issues, and continue to keep in touch with Okinawa’.

Magleby left his office on Aug. 18th, and was going back to Washington. His next post has not been announced yet. Magleby had been on his post in Okinawa since 2012.
