Yaeyama Police on arrested a 17-year-old high school boy from Haebaru Town on Feb. 2nd on suspicion of forging a driver’s license and using it for illegal purpose.

According to investigators, the high school boy is suspected of altering the date of birth on his motorcycle driver’s license to change his age appear over 20. Investigators say he had printed a new number and pasted it over his birthday. The boy then used the altered driver’s license at a convenience store to buy alcohol.

He allegedly used the forged document between Aug. 25th and Nov. 18th last year,
