Japan’s national women’s soccer team holds camp

Nadeshiko Japan, the Japanese national women’s soccer team, preparing for the final Asian qualifier matches for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, has been conducting a training camp at Yoshinoura Park in Nakagusuku, from Feb. 13th. The final round of the Asian qualifiers is scheduled to take place from Feb. 29th through Mar. 9th in Osaka.

The main purpose of the camp is to select alternate members for the Olympic team.

25 players, including Ryoko Takara from Okinawa, who currently plays with Vegalta Sendai Ladies, and Aya Miyama, the captain of the national team worked out running and passing the ball on the first day of the camp. The camp will continue though tomorrow.
