New chocolate made with awamori for Valentine’s Day

Edelweiss Okinawa, a high-class pastry shop, and Chuko Awamori Distillery have jointly created a new pastry that is made using Belgique chocolate and awamori.

The new ‘Premium Chocolate’ was especially created for the Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14th and the White Day, Mar 14th. Two special kind of Awamori from Chuko was used to produce two kinds of chocolate pastries. ‘Yokka Kouji’ was used to make milk chocolate, and 3-year-old Kusu to make dark chocolate.

The milk chocolate pastry made with ‘Yokka Kouji’ has a delicate flavor of pears, and the other Kusu chocolate features vanilla scent. The price is ¥1,620 including tax per a box that contains four pastries.
