Urasoe City Police arrested 25-year-old Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class stationed on White Beach early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence on Highway 58.

The sailor was arrested after he reportedly crashed into a utility pole while driving his car about 4:30 a.m. on Highway 58 in Makiminato, Urasoe.

A breathalyzer test showed more than four times the legal limit of alcohol in his breath, but he has denied the charges.
