Hiroto to challenge World Lightweight title in July

Hiroto Nema, a 32-year-old MMA fighter from Ishigaki who uses his first name only in the ring, is aiming to win the World Lightweight title in the match scheduled for Koza Music Town Oto-Ichiba on July 24th.

Hiroto, a well-known figure in the Tenkaichi fighting events in the Okinawa City venue, defeated former Intercontinental Champion Dominic Zadora of Poland with a KO in the first round, and won the championship at ISKA Intercontinental Light-middleweight title fight held last January in Naha. The victory ensured him the spot as a challenger in the coming world title fight in July, which will be his third appearance in the ISKA World Title fights, including ISKA Muay Thai.

At the World Lightweight Title fight, he will face the current champion of the ISKA World Light-middleweight, Wilfred Martin of France. The fight will be freestyle kickboxing.

Hiroto visited at Ishigaki City Hall on May 27th to inform Ishigaki Mayor Yoshitaka Nakayama of his appearance in the World Title fight, and talked about his ambition to win. After meeting with the mayor, he talked to the media, “I would like to win the world championship title to express my gratitude for everybody in Ishigaki City. I also want many people to come to see my fight on July 24th!”
