Nissan Skyline to get own postal stamp

One of the most iconic cars made in Japan, Nissan Skyline GT-R, will have be commemorated in a set of postage stamps of its own.

Japan Post Co., Ltd and Nissan Motor Co. announced Aug. 1st the publication of the set of 10 postal stamps with a theme of Skyline GT-R cars. The stamps are sold starting Aug. 29 in major post offices in 26 prefectures throughout the country, including Naha Central Post Office. The set is also available from Japan Post Co. Ltd. website. The 10 different stamps in the set have all a face value of ¥52 each. The set includes a miniature Nissan Skyline GT-R car and a special box, and costs ¥3,800. Only 6,000 sets will be produced.

The car depicted in the stamps is the 8th Skyline GT-R (BNR32) model that was introduced in 1989.
