The biggest and most popular custom car show in Japan is coming to Okinawa at the end of this month. The “Okinawa Custom Car Show” that is known by its official name as the “Tokyo Auto Salon” is a huge annual custom car show held in Tokyo since 1983.

Minivans are popular.

From 1999, the event has been taking place at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo’s most famous and biggest convention and exhibition facility. Lately, the event has attracted some 150 custom cars on exhibit, and more than 100 vendors gathering together.

More than 300,000 visitors are usually coming every year to see the gleaming cars on the 2nd weekend of January, from Friday through Sunday, at Makuhari Messe. Now the event comes to Okinawa for the first time ever, after the Tokyo event ends.

The venue for the Okinawa show is Toyosaki Chura Sun Beach in Tomigusuku City, and many of the custom cars exhibited at Tokyo Auto Salon, including spruced up mini cars (K-plate), sports cars, sedans, box type cars, imports and supercars will be showcased at the event. Many cars built up by enthusiasts from Okinawa Island will be on display, too.

No car show is real without a bevy of campaign girls.

Campaign girls are an essential and popular part of any car show year after year and the Okinawa event is no exception. Many official campaign girls from the Tokyo show will be coming to Chura Sun Beach in addition to some local ones.

This is a must see event for all car lovers that absolutely must not be missed. This is the first ever chance to see the most famous car show in Japan on Okinawa.
