Stamps to mark opening of Karate Kaikan go for sale

A commemorative postage stamp set to mark the opening of Okinawa Karate Kaikan in Tomigusuku City on Mar. 4th, will go for sale from Mar. 5th.

The stamps will be sold at the store in the Karate Kaikan for ¥1,200 per a sheet of 10 stamps. The stamps feature 10 Karate masters representing Uechi, Goju, Ryuei, and Kobayashi styles, plus a holder of the Prefectural Important Intangible Cultural Property of the Kobayashi style in Kobudou printed on the 52-yen-nominated stamps.

In addition to the stamps, original-design ties, towels and T-shirts will be for sale at the Karate Kaikan store. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Wednesdays.
