Regular Naha – Xian flights start from Apr. 3

China Eastern Airlines will start the new regular flight service connecting Xian, the largest city in the northwestern China, with Naha from April 3.

China Eastern Airlines currently has regular flights between Naha, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. Previously, Beijing Capital Airlines ran charter flights for one year from January 2015 between Xian and Naha, but this will be the first regular flight service on the route.

The flights are scheduled for twice a week. One flight leaves Xian at 7:25 a.m. local time on Mondays, arriving at Naha at 0:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The return flight leaves Naha at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at Xian at 5 p.m. On Fridays, the flight leaves Xian at 7:25 a.m. and arrives at Naha at midnight. The return flight leaves Naha at 1 p.m. and arrives at Xian at 5 p.m. local time.

The aircraft scheduled for the route has 150 seats, and company planners expect about 80% of passengers to be tourists from China.
