As Okinawa’s heat ratchets onward and upward, so does the MCCS festival season with the Camp Foster Festival. This year’s festival will be held from 1 – 9 p.m. both Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23. This free event is open to all DoD ID card holders and Japanese citizens.

Festival-goers can be prepared to experience everything that makes a festival worth celebrating with free top-notch entertainment, game booths, amusement rides, Fun Land for children of all ages and a variety of festival foods such as yakitori, yakisoba, corn dogs and more. Hungry revelers can also enjoy USA staples such as sizzling burgers from Bulldogs, succulent BBQ beef brisket and juicy chicken from Hickory House All-American BBQ, and pizza and wings. For patrons 20 years of age and older, refreshing beverages can be purchased from Kanpai Lounge.

Game booths, amusement rides, Fun Land for children of all ages

The most anticipated event at the Camp Foster Festival is featured entertainment from Grammy-winning alternative rock band Switchfoot, who will perform live 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. With top-quality entertainment and great food and games for all ages, Foster Festival is sure to be another festival for the whole family.

No pets, outside alcohol, bottles, backpacks or coolers will be allowed. Taxi and Daiko services will be available.
