Okinawa Meiji Milk Products Co., Ltd. and Okinawa Kogyo High School collaborated to produce a “Dragon Fruit & Apple aji no pinku bar” (Pink dragon fruit & apple flavored bar). The new product is now sold at convenience stores and supermarkets on Okinawa.

As the name indicates, the sherbet bar is pink in color and flavored with juice from dragon fruit and apples. It has chocolate tips to depict seeds of the dragon fruit. It’s price is ¥90 (excluding tax).

Five female graduates of the Okinawa Kogyo IT course created the project. Illustrations on the package of the sherbet bar were also created by the five young women. Renka Omine, 19-year-old member of the group, said, “We would like people to enjoy the bar thinking that these five girls made it.”

The product will be on sale at Naha City Gymnasium though June 18th.
