Okinawa’s Yusaku Miyazato No.1 on JPGA 2017 money list

Yusaku Miyazato, an Okinawan pro-gofer and brother of A Miyazato who has announced fininshi9ng her career, took the first prize at the JT Championship, the last Japanese Men’s Pro Golf Tournament this year. Miyazato finished the tournament with a total of 275 strokes, 15 under par and won the championship. For his win, he earned ¥40 million that put his total season earnings to ¥182.83 million, and to No.1 spot on the money list for the first time.

The championship was Miyazato’s fourth title of his career, and the win lifted him past Satoshi Kodaira who had been leading on the money list.

With broad smile on his face Miyazato said, “I tried to work hard at the tournament because I believe in myself, and was convinced I could do better. “I will never be satisfied, because I think there is still room to grow, and I want to be better year after year. I feel so happy that there are so many people supporting me.”
