Are you interested in expanding your career in Okinawa? This year, OIST (Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University) will be holding a joint Job Fair with local hotels. This event will be a great opportunity to find multiple career options at both a university and the hotel business. Mark your calendar and visit the Job Fair at OIST on Sunday, July 8, 2018!

Located in Onna Village, OIST is an interdisciplinary graduate school offering a 5-year PhD program in Science. All education and research are conducted entirely in English. As the organization expects to continue growing, OIST is seeking new talent in various work fields including: nursery/childcare staff, finance staff, secretaries, and research support specialists.

Along with OIST, five hotels will be joining this event: The Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island Okinawa, ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort, Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort, Hotel Monterey Okinawa and The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. These five large-scale hotels are excited to recruit talented people including new graduates and those at mid-career level, for positions in guest services, such as front desk clerk, bell attendant, sales manager, reservation agent and concierge staff. If you are interested in supporting from the back office, there are various job opportunities such as accounting staff, procurement staff, housekeeping staff, and more.

The event will take place at the OIST campus (1919-1 Tancha, Onna Village), rain or shine. Existing OIST/hotel staff will be present to answer questions directly from visitors and to share information in detail about the working environment.

The event will run from 10:00 to 16:00 with the reception opening at 9:45. You can arrive/leave at any time during the event. There will be a tour of the OIST campus and also the Child Development Center (CDC) scheduled for both the morning and in the afternoon for visitors to get a better idea of what it is like to work at OIST. The Workshop, “How to write an English resume” will teach you tips on how to make your resume a good representation of yourself. Grano, an ocean-view café situated on Floor C of OIST’s Central Building, will be open from 10:00 to 15:00 to serve lunch and refreshments to event visitors. Please note that payment is accepted only in cash (Japanese yen).

No dress code is required. CVs are accepted during the event and same-day interviews are also possible. The event is open to everyone: Feel free to just drop by and enjoy learning about your future career possibilities in Okinawa!
