Ginowan to get two large-scale sports goods shops

The president of a leading Japan sports goods and sports clothes retailer “Xebio”, Tomoyoshi Morohashi, visited Ginowan City Office, Nov. 2, to exchanged a written agreement with Ginowan City Mayor Atsushi Sakima, stating his company’s intention to enter the Okinawan market by opening its first outlets in the prefecture in the city of Ginowan.

According to the letter of intent, Xebio aims to open two shops in the city; a large sports goods special shop called “Super Sports Xebio,” and a golf goods special shop called “Victoria Golf.” Both shops are scheduled to open during the early part of the 2013.

Ginowan City invited enterprises to submit development plans for a 300-vehicle-capacity parking space on city-owned land at the western seashore in January this year.

Ginowan city then received a report from its Enterprise Locating Examination Committee regarding the applicants, and selected Xebio as the best prospective developer at the end of August.

According to the Xebio plan 48 of the total staff of 50 in each shop will be employed from the local area.
