A section of the concrete ceiling on the third floor of an apartment building in Sobe, Naha came loose, and fell on a 2-year-old boy who was in the room at the time. The boy suffered a slight injury on his head.

According to Naha City Fire Department Headquarters, the building is more than 40 years old, so it’s reasonable to assume that the cause of the accident is deterioration of the building with age.
