JICA friendship eve on Africa set for tonight

Children and mothers getting an idea of African dances.

Five times each year, the Urasoe International Communications Association stages special events to bring Okinawa and the world closer together, and this week it’s a Friendship Seminar: African Edition.

The event tonight at the JICA Okinawa International Center Library Building, Nirai Hall third floor, presents African culture and music to the public.  There’s no admission charge, no reservations required, and kids are welcome.

are trained in state of the art technology, and how to serve as lecturers to students from a developing country.

Tomorrow’s African Edition begins at 7 p.m., and includes a “Yes & No Quiz”, as well as exchange meetings with students from Africa.  There will be dances and opportunities to meet with the lecturers.
