Various shows go on throughout the day.

Old Saint Nick might not be present at the Okinawa Zoo, Okinawa Kodomo No Kuni, this weekend as the festive holiday season begins with two days of music, Christmas carols, picture stories and a puppet show.

The music rings out from 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and admission is free.  Saturday’s first music is Non Non Princess & Orgel at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  There will be Christmas songs for guests.  The Animals & Christmas presentation is at 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.  It includes both a puppet show and a picture story show.

The Non Non Princess & Orgel performances repeat Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Also on Sunday, Christmas with a Brass Band, actually a wind orchestra, takes place at 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.  Visitors are invited to dance and sing along with the musical performance.
