Rowena Briones Tamaki is the lucky winner of this week’s JU raffle. She won a free one-night stay at the Best Western Naha Inn, a classy business hotel located near Kokusai Street and one of Naha’s busiest entertainment districts.

Rowena is originally from the Philippines but has lived on Okinawa for almost eight years. She says she is planning to stay on the island permanently.

Rowena says that her life on Okinawa is good. “I just love it here, and especially appreciate the many beautiful beaches,” she states. She also mentions that her favorite local dishes are sushi and soba. Sometime in the future she would like to visit Okinawa’s outer islands for sightseeing.
