Pastor Akira Takimoto

Zion Christian Fellowship is hosting the 17^th Okinawa Co-mission Conference Saturday evening, with guest pastor Akira Takimoto addressing participants, while gospel music fills the Large Hall of the Ginowan City Civic Hall.

Doors open for the free conference at 6 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. AkiraTakimoto, who founded the All Japan Revival Mission, will preach.  Born in Aichi Prefecture, he was born into a non-Christian family, turning his personal life to Christianity when he was 19.  After a series of experiences, he began his career as an evangelist.

The musical side of the evening will be gospel hymns played by the Gushiken Family.  There’s also a performance by the high school students at Zion Christian Academy.
